Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated Department: Med Surg / Ortho Certifications Required: BLS WILL NOT APPROVE BLOCKED SCHEDULING OR SAME SCHEDULE/SHIFTS, MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO FLOAT AND WORK WHEN NEEDED - of Beds: 22- average daily census of 6 - Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Total knee replacements, total hip replacements, ankle replacements, total shoulders, spines- back and neck - Are RNs required to titrate drips?: No - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Pain medications, antibiotics, blood - Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes - Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes, 1:13 - Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: Tele boxes. Tele techs will read and interpret. - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling?
