JOB SUMMARY
As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) at Catalyst Physician Group, youll be a vital part of our team, helping our communities thrive by providing direct patient care and supporting clinical operations. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Functions independently to perform a broad range of medical services including, but not limited to the following:
- Age appropriate history and physical
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays relative to a patients specific needs
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions
- Prescribing medication appropriately
- Educating patients on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices
- Documenting encounters in EMR
- Providing direction, coordination, and evaluation of patient care delivery
- Ensuring that standards and care quality levels are consistently followed
- Following all clinical safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Work well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Texas license and certification.
- Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program.
- Experience as an NP or PA in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Competent with basic desktop software, medical practice management, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 years related experience preferably in a Primary Care outpatient setting.
