Job Title: HR Coordinator

Location: Chicago, IL

Pay: $60,000 - $65,000 per year

About Our Client:

Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a well-established family office in the financial services industry that provides HR, payroll, and administrative services to its clients. The organization has seen significant growth and is looking to expand its HR team to support new clients.

Job Description:

The HR Coordinator will support the HR team by performing a range of administrative tasks essential to the efficient operation of the department. This role includes both employee-facing services and internal support duties to maintain compliance, accuracy, and confidentiality within HR functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate HR records and files while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Address standard inquiries from employees regarding policies, benefits, and HR processes, escalating complex matters as needed.
  • Assist with the employee onboarding process, including paperwork collection and I-9 verification.
  • Support payroll changes and assist with human capital management (HCM) system updates.
  • Back up front desk receptionist duties and manage calls, emails, and mail distribution.
  • Coordinate with external benefit providers and assist with benefits enrollment and new hire orientation.
  • Help plan and execute company events, such as benefits enrollment, meetings, and holiday celebrations.
  • Process and maintain HR inbox inquiries and employee self-service portal requests.
  • Perform other clerical and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of HR experience, including internships.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

Additional Details:

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; 1 day per week in-office.
