As we are now developing the orbital version of our vehicle, the RF Engineer at NordSpace will play a critical role in building subsystems for reliable wireless communications with launch vehicles and satellites. The goal is to develop hardware and software for advanced space communication platforms including ground stations, satellite comms modules, and potentially deep space mission communication systems. This role will also support other divisions at NordSpace where mechanical, electrical, and software systems are required in a small team environment.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in electrical/aerospace engineering related to wireless communications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, Master’s or Ph.D. preferred
- Experience in RF hardware development (radios, transceivers, amplifiers, filters, etc.)
- Hands-on engineering experience with electrical systems (PCB design, embedded systems programming) and sub-system integration
- Experience with communication subsystem manufacturing, qualification, integration, and verification
- Experience in calculating link budgets considering atmospheric & environmental effects
- Experience in antenna design and analysis including sizing, patterns, gains, and usage
- Knowledge and passion for the space industry
- Excellent problem-solving and independent research skills
- Excellent project management skills
