The Software Developer will understand the core business processes and requirements, conceive and write detailed software implementations/code, ensuring adherence to security, logging, error handling, and performance standards. Responsibilities include:
Supporting research and development of frameworks and definition of standards.
Conducting independent analysis to resolve strategic issues.
Building effective relationships with stakeholders.
Monitoring performance and addressing issues.
Providing input into operational program planning and implementation.
Translating business requirements into detailed design specifications and code.
Designing solutions, writing code, performing unit testing, and developing documentation.
Supporting production issues, including root-cause analysis.
Building solutions that are supportable and scalable.
Recommending or automating approaches to streamline technological processes.
Staying abreast of industry trends and learning new skills.
Focusing primarily on the business/group within BMO, with potential enterprise-wide focus.
Taking on broader work or accountabilities as needed.
Qualifications:
B.S./B.A. in computer science, engineering, information systems, or math.
2-4 years of experience with development practices and technology.
Experience with Node.JS or Python programming language.
Understanding of functional aspects and technical behavior of operating systems and deployment practices.
Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
AWS development and IAM experience are nice to have.

Pay Type: Salaried
