The candidate will execute repair functions of Generator Fields, Stators, High Voltage Bushings, Excitation equipment, and other miscellaneous electrical generating equipment.Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:Remove and install retaining rings with induction heatingRemove, clean, and install field coilsRewedge the Generator StatorRepair the End WindingsStator bar replacementClean, red-eye, and paintHigh Voltage Bushing and Standoff Bushing replacementCore Iron repair/replacementInstallation of 2-piece clips Requirements High School Diploma/GED/Apprenticeship classes or trade schoolMinimum 3 years' experienceMust be willing to travel a minimum of 50%, including internationallyAble to pass a pulmonary function test & wear a respiratorGood visual and auditory acuityKnowledge of various tying techniques, wedging, bar and coil installation; painting techniques, brazing, taping, insulating, and installing 2-piece clipsAbility to quickly grasp or manipulate objects for extended periods of timeGood oral and written communication skills.A Shop TourRepairs Division- St. Louis, MO: Our Culture: A Powerful PurposeAt MD&A, we truly work together, as one team!
