Materials & Products •Converts coated or laminated products into predetermined lengths according to customer specifications. Equipment •Uses a variety of converting machines and a hydraulic lift for loading and unloading materials prior to transport to staging area for shipment. •May be responsible for using basic hand tools such as a hammer, screwdriver or Allen wrench to build or breakdown machinery parts. Procedures •Receives daily assignments at the start of each shift to include machinery to be operated, work orders and process folders with job specifications. •Ensures that machines have been cleaned, blades have been properly adjusted, and rewind shafts are set to specifications prior to beginning a new work order. •Uses a core cutter to cut cores to lengths as defined in the process folder. •Loads coated or laminated rolls onto machine using a hydraulic lift. •Feeds film through thread path while checking for proper tension and alignment. •Reviews customer specifications for wrapping, labeling or taping procedures and reviews requirements with supervisor if information is not included in the process folder. •Adjusts machine for speed, tension or taper using either hand controls or touch screen. •Enters information into Queen Anne Drive (QAD) system upon receipt of material and before returning to warehouse for proper inventory management. •Understands and adheres to all company safety specifications related to the use of convertingPour être sûr de ne rien oublierEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING TIME •High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent experience. •This position requires six to nine months of work experience to become proficient in all phases of the job to work independently.Mention légaleSaint-Gobain provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
