THE POSITION

Work in this job class offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a diverse range of technical tasks related to financial management, standards development and the implementation of administrative operations. Working closely with a small team, this person actively contributes to shaping and optimizing organizational processes.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare financial statements, execute accounting entries, transfers, and reconciliations, while conducting technical analyses of accounts and reports. Monitor transactions, identify and rectify errors as needed.
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize data for budget preparation, actively participate in budgeting, monitor budgets, analyze entries, and provide guidance to ensure adherence to prescribed rules.
  • Address queries from auditors, furnish required information, and provide supporting documents as necessary.
  • Develop and refine work methods and procedures, ensuring their effective implementation in relevant sectors.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze material resource needs, contribute to standard development, and oversee their application.
  • Apply management techniques to administrative activities and ongoing operations, adapting strategies as required.
  • Prepare and distribute reports for relevant organizations, ensuring effective communication.
  • Utilize computer software for task execution and research purposes, assisting staff with specialized software when necessary.
  • Train junior technicians and coordinate support staff in executing duties related to technical program implementation.
  • Undertake any other related duties as assigned.

  • Hold a Diploma of College Studies in business administration, with a relevant specialization or an equivalent diploma or attestation recognized by the competent authority.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and French.
  • Proficient in computer software such as Word and Excel; familiarity with Access is advantageous.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and collaborate with teams and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated capacity to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Strong judgment, analytical prowess, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, plan, execute, and follow up on tasks independently.
