Job Description:
Reporting to the Manager, Data Analytics, the Data Analyst will be responsible for the development and delivery of analytical solutions and reporting for the Prospr digital journey, growth, and sales teams. As a key stakeholder to the success of the Prospr team, the Data Analyst partners closely with our business partners to understand the business and their needs and leverage data (internal and external) to provide high impact analytics and insights to accelerate the growth of the Prospr business.
What will you do?
Work with stakeholders to draw business insights from analytical outputs
Communicate recommendations and data insights
Effectively manage multiple workstreams and drive the team to deliver business value
Establish automated reporting on key performance metrics (KPIs) using Tableau
Automate, improve, transform existing data models using Python, SQL and AWS tools (e.g. Glue, Athena, Step Functions)
Become a data subject matter expert by working with our IT and business partners across the organization
Identifying and implementing ways to increase user knowledge and the value they derive from our dashboards.
Assisting with data extracts and analysis as required to support high priority needs.
What will you need to succeed?
2+ years of work experience with Python and SQL
Comfortable learning new applications and processes quickly with minimal direction
Experience using oral and written storytelling to share data driven insights in a clear, succinct manner.
Strong partnering approach with a commitment to meeting business partners' unique needs and expectations.
Data analysis with Python (e.g. Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, Jupyter Notebook)
Data analysis and querying large datasets with SQL (e.g. SQL Server, PostgresSQL, Oracle, Snowflake)
Data visualization / dashboarding with Tableau or equivalent
Data analysis and visualization using MS-Excel.
Experience of working with cloud-based data toolsets (eg: S3, Glue, Athena, Trino etc.)
What will be nice to have?
Experience in life insurance / wealth management, other financial services industry components (e.g., retail banking, credit card, properly and casualty insurance), or distribution (asset).
A suitable academic background, such as a degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, or economics, or equivalent work experience.
