Applicants in this pool could be called upon to teach at the undergraduate-level during the academic year, winter session, and/or summer session as needed.DutiesApplicants will indicate their interest to teach in the following Chemistry Teaching categories: (Please pick at least one area)A) General Education lecturesB) Lectures for Nursing/Nutrition/Exercise Science majors (Physiological Chemistry – General)C) Labs for Nursing majors (Physiological Chemistry – General)D) General Chemistry Lectures for STEM and related majorsE) General Chemistry Labs for STEM and related majorsF) Discipline-specific (200-level and above) Chemistry Lectures and Labs, including in the areas of Inorganic, Organic, Physical, Analytical, and Biochemistry. Other specialty areas may be self-identified by the applicant.In addition, please indicate the campus or campuses at which you are interested in teaching. Commonwealth University has campuses in Bloomsburg, Clearfield, Lock Haven, and Mansfield.Qualifying Experience and Education (Minimum/Preferred)Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemistry Education, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. In order to qualify for a provisional appointment, the Applicant Acknowledgement Consent Form, Provisional Hire Form, Pennsylvania State Police and Justifacts portion of the clearance process must be successfully completed prior to your start date.
