SUMMARY Under direct supervision, performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of component parts and finished goods. Responsible for verifying and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Reviews orders for correct part's number and description to ensure that the correct product and/or part is picked. Identifies order discrepancies and corrects discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Verify and process customer orders to ship UPS, LTL for timely delivery.
- Maintains an inventory of cartons, tapes, crates, clamps, foam, and other packing material.
- Provides excellent customer service via telephone and in-person. Responds to phone calls/emails requesting parts information in a timely manner.
- Reviews and troubleshoots customer problems and initiates standard corrective action procedures.
- Notifies management when inventory of specific items is low or when orders will deplete available inventory. Ensures that an adequate stock of parts is available to meet customer needs.
- Maintain warehouse and stock area neat, organized, and clean.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - High school diploma or GED and three years of shipping and receiving experience is required.
- Ability to operate materials handling equipment including forklifts, pallet handler and hand trucks. Prior customer service experience is strongly desired.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS - Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and similar companies shipping

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS Non-Manufacturing: - Typically work is in a warehouse/office environment where the noise level is low to moderate
- Requires standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift boxes/materials weighing up to 51 lbs.
- Requires telephone work and/or computer work, as well as interactions with other employees and customers
- Ability to read, write, listen, and communicate effectively
