Role overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our dynamic team at Osedea. As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our clients' business needs and the technical solutions provided by our development team. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements, defining project scopes, and ensuring successful project delivery by maintaining clear communication between stakeholders and development teams. It's a pivotal role for our client’s solution as you will be the first point of contact and the one that gets to impact the strategic outcome of the project.

Your key responsibilities
Requirement Elicitation and Analysis: Collaborate closely with clients and internal stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. This includes conducting workshops, interviews, and reviewing existing documentation to fully understand the client's needs.
Documentation and Specification: Turn business needs into functional and non-functional requirements: for example - Produce comprehensive documentation including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirement documents (FRDs), use cases, user stories, process flows, and wireframes to clearly articulate project requirements and specifications.
Requirements Management: Manage and prioritize requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project goals, scope, and timelines. Track changes and facilitate requirements traceability to ensure all deliverables meet business objectives.
Communication and Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between clients, stakeholders, and development teams, facilitating communication to ensure a shared understanding of business needs, project requirements, and expectations. Actively participate in project meetings, providing insights and recommendations to drive decision-making.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to business analysis and software development. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of internal methodologies, tools, and templates.
The ideal candidate
Has 5+ years experience as business analyst, preferably in a software development context
Has a Master’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, college degree, certification in a relevant field
Is bilingual (French and English)
You should be proficient with
Business Analysis Techniques: Demonstrated proficiency in various business analysis techniques such as stakeholder analysis, requirement prioritization, SWOT analysis, and business process modeling.
Requirements Gathering Tools: Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar requirements management and collaboration platforms.
Documentation Tools: Proficiency in using tools like Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, Miro or similar software for creating comprehensive project documentation.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to critically evaluate information and propose innovative solutions to business challenges.
It’s a plus if you have experience with
IIBA/PMI certifications (ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, PBA ...)
Previous software development experience or familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working on custom software development projects.
Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile development environments, particularly with Scrum or Kanban methodologies. Agile/SCRUM certifications (PSM, PSPO, PAL, ...)
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of specific industries such as finance, healthcare, e-commerce, or manufacturing, and familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
Data Analysis: Basic knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools such as SQL, Excel, or data visualization platforms.
