Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic (1st and 2nd shift available)
Location: Stone Park, IL
Job Type and Duration: Direct Hire
Pay rate: $22-28/hr plus overtime
Hours: 1st shift = 5am - 1pm M-F with overtime as needed
2nd shift = 2pm - 10pm M-F with overtime as needed
We are looking to hire a Second Shift Mechanic to be responsible for mechanical repairs and maintenance of industrial machines.
Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly. Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Record repairs and maintenance performed.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum requirements:

• 3+ years of related experience
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical failures on large/heavy industrial machinery (paint lines, punch presses, roll-forming machines) in an industrial/manufacturing environment
• Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics
• Solid understanding of safe work practice and OSHA requirements
• Must be comfortable working at heights
• Bilingual Spanish/English
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled facility
