Job Overview:
  • Maintains adequate levels of department supplies related to WCT procedures with SSP
  • Has a good working knowledge of sterile fields and techniques.
  • Assists WOCNs or APP as needed. Complies with standards of practice in these areas.
  • Application and changing of compression wraps, provides assistance to WOCN for wound vac changes and possibly changing simple wound vacs on your own, taking a wound vac down before assisting a WOCN with a complex wound vac, troubleshooting any wound vac issues, physically assisting WOCNs with patients during assessments, and completing simple wound rechecks.
  • All PCT functions and duties
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Education:
  • Basic Life Support: Health Care Provider, within six months of hire.
  • Completion of a high school education or equivalent (GED)
  • Successfully complete PCT classes as required by care center/unit.
  • Previous patient care or nursing assistant experience desired.
  • One to two years related patient care experience and/or training (or an equivalent).
  • One to two years education in exercise science, general A&P classes or the sciences desired.
