Job Summary/Overview Performs maintenance work with the degree of skill of a Millwright; skilled in mechanical, air, pneumatic, PLC programming, and hydraulic systems. Electrical systems knowledge is a plus. Performs tasks as assigned by schedule looking for better solutions to fixes and safer ways to complete jobs. Requires minimal supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Performs tasks assigned by supervisor based on different projects.
- Responsible for the repair of any existing equipment, installation of new equipment or new parts on existing equipment.
- Perform general welding including brazing and cutting of shapes with cutting torch.
- Perform various repairs like assisting in furnace and induction coil repairs, machine fixtures and components repairs.
- Operate all power hand tools and operate all types of tool room equipment (lathe, mill, drill, saw, grinders, etc.)
- Have basic skills in pipe fitting for Conduit.
- Perform other related duties such as: general housekeeping, maintenance of all tools, spare parts, supplies, System entries, and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities - Maintains all equipment in a preventative and predictive way (lubrication schedules, inspections of equipment - cranes, hammers, etc.) scheduled by the Maintenance Planner.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to evaluate the work of subordinates. Working knowledge of production machinery operations and capacities.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety policies and procedures. Ability to speak effectively with fellow employees, i.e., training employees, giving instructions. Ability to write routine reports and internal correspondence.
- Ability to Lead others.
- Ability to safely lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
Required Qualifications - High school graduate, GED required.
- Technical certificate preferred.
- Five years' experience in a mechanic profession, the ability to weld, perform machine work and general maintenance repair work.
- Ability to read machine detail blueprints.
- Read and use close tolerance shop measuring tools.
- Use standard shop math.
