Job Summary:nnProvid technical support and leadership related to installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintainance, set-up and training on Flexible Packaging Mfg. Equipment. Rooted in nearly a century of family ownership, Maco Bag excels in crafting innovative, quality bag solutions for our customers and creating a nurturing work enviroment for our employees.nnSummary of Essential Job Duties:nnLead Installation, repair, and maintain production manufacturing machinery and equipment.nnLead in resolving technical issues; Troubleshoot equipment problems, diagnose, and make necessary repairs/adjustments.nnImplement escalation as needed.nnRead and interpret equipment manuals; Ability to read and understand Production job sheets.nnProvides training to production employees on key processes and procedures.nnPerform all first piece qualification testing.nnMaintain tooling and work with engineering to develop tooling and attachments.nnReplaces faulty components such as motors, gearboxes, cartridge heaters, air cylinders.nnEvaluate preventive maintenance effectiveness.nnStart-up and shutdown of equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and OSHA Lock Out/Tag Out.nnSupport all aspects of CMMS.nnCommunicate and collaborate with department managers as needed; Prioritize and self-schedule work around production activities to achieve both production and maintenance goals.nnFacilitate and champion of Safety Awareness.nnKnowledge & Skills:nnExperience in materials and manufacturing operations required; expereince in flexible packaging environment preferred.nnStrong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills required. General understanding of electrical systems and ability to work safely with low voltage systems. PLC and electrical experience a plus.nnFully understand blueprints, specifications, manufacturing processes and procedures.nnAbility to use/read various measuring devices such as rulers, tape measures, micrometers, & dial calipersnnProficient math skillsnnCMMS familiarity preferred; Intermediate computer skills and windows navigationnnStrong communication, teamwork and problem solving skills required.nnAbility to work with minimal supervision.nnEducational/Experience Requirements:nnHigh School diploma/GED, completion of craft apprenticeship, or equivalent education and experience.nnExperience in a manufacturing environment is required.nnKnowledge of basic properties of materials and principles of mechanical operation preferred.nn5 years of experience required, food processing and/or packaging a plusnnExperience with ISO Standards preferred.nnPhysical Demands:nnAbility to climb in overhead structures, work beneath machines and in close quarters.nnHigh degree of attention and carennRegularly lift, bend, reach, twist and turn.nnAbility to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.nnWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand use hands to fingers, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.nnThe employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, lubricants and fumes or airborne particles.nnMay work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the production process.
