** Summary of Position **
n
A Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and attending to equipment downtime on production equipment as required, while working with the senior members to complete electrical and mechanical projects. This position requires 2 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment of 1 year of experience with a recognized trade certificate.

** Essential Duties and Responsibilities **
n
n- Maintain compliance with all Company policies.
n- Maintain personal compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures to improve health and safety within the facility.
n- Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulations including but not limited to Lock Out/Tag Out practices.
n- Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to production and facility equipment as required.
n- Complete small electrical or mechanical projects as directed by Team Lead or Supervisor.
n- Diagnose basic electrical systems, mechanical components, pneumatic components, and controls to identify hazards, defects, and need for adjustments, repairs, or programming.
n- Support the maintaining of the electrical spare parts inventory levels.
n- Maintain and perform repairs on equipment to restore them to proper, safe, and optimal working conditions.
n- Adhere to work orders and utilize CMMS system for data entry.
n- Ability to work rotating shifts, overnight, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed.
n- Must be able to lift upwards of 50lbs.

** Skills **

n- Knowledge of equipment set-up, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
n- Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
n- Ability to read basic electrical and electronic schematics/diagrams, and basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
n- Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Education and/or Experience ****
n
n- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience or 1 year experience with one of the following:n
n- 309A – Electrician – Construction & Maintenance
n- 433A – Industrial Mechanic
n

n
Preferred:
n
n- Forklift or scissor lift certification or experience.
n
n
