Facility TechniciannnJob Number: 344399nnCategory: Maintenance GeneralnnDescription: Job Title: Refrigeration TechniciannnLocation: Indianapolis, INnnZip Code: 46241nnStart Date: ImmediatelynnJob Type: DirectnnPay Rate: can go up to $35 an hour based off experience + benefits + sign on bonusnnSchedule: 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule; day shiftnnKeywords: #facilities #hvacr #refrigeration #electrical #ammoniannThis Refrigeration Technician position is responsible for overseeing the safe operation, daily monitoring and maintenance of the plant utilities equipment including but not limited to: An ammonia refrigeration system, boilers, water treatment systems, cooling towers and pumps, NH3 and compressed air compressors, HVAC systems, air dryers, freezers, rapid roll-up doors, hot water generating equipment, potable and non-potable water systems, sanitary and storm water systems, chillers and distribution systems, structural upkeep of the building including roof. This position requires frequent interaction with various employees in the maintenance department as well as employees from other departments. This position provides assistance to the Maintenance Manager to ensure assets are managed in accordance with IIAR, ASHRE, ASME, EPA, OSHA and applicable state and local codes.nnResponsibilities:nnWorking and considering Safety as a primary responsibilitynnEnsure that assigned machinery runs without issuennComplete assigned PM'snnMonitor the performance of the ammonia refrigeration systemnnAnalyze system data and trending data to determine the need for increased maintenance frequenciesnnDocument Contractor activity as it pertains to the refrigeration system Support the maintaining of the PSM ProgramnnParticipate as a member of the Emergency Response TeamnnProvide training to the Maintenance Technicians on the operation of the Refrigeration SystemnnOther Duties as assignednnSkills:nnStrong working knowledge of and work history with Ammonia refrigeration systemsnnExcellent communication and coaching skillsnnDetail oriented and organizednnProficient computer skills in spreadsheets; data bases and word processingnnExcellent technical knowledge of equipment, products, and processesnnSelf-motivated, results orientated and excellent personal skillsnnStrong knowledge in Maintenance and ReliabilitynnRequirements:nnHigh School diploma/GED requirednnAssociate degree in HVACR, Refrigeration/Electrical, RETA and CIRO certificates, Trade School Certification, or equivalent is strongly preferrednnExperience operating industrial ammonia refrigeration system including: Multi-stage Ammonia Compression SystemsnnUnderstanding and troubleshooting Complex Electrical Control Systems (GES or Frick) Liquid Recirculation SystemsnnAbility to Interpret Piping and Instrumentation DrawingsnnScrew compressorsnnEvaporative CondensersnnRoom Cooling EvaporatorsnnKnowledge of safety criteria for Ammonia Systems based in IIAR StandardsnnBoiler Operations and InspectionsnnFacilities Plumbing and PipefittingnnAir Compressor and Air Dryer maintenance Rapid Roll door operationsnnDock loading/Unloading doors and levelersnnLock Out/Tag Out programsnnPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE)nnHazardous CommunicationsnnMust understand and be able to explain the physics of the refrigeration cycle.nnIf you are interested in this job, please apply via the 'apply now' link provided.nnBelcan is a global supplier of engineering, technical recruiting, and IT services to customers in the aerospace, industrial, and government sectors.
