Truck Drivernn»nnDate:Nov 5, 2024nnLocation: Wilkes-Barre, PA, USnnCompany: Leggett & PlattnnClass A Truck Driver Job DescriptionnnPrimary DutiesnnThese primary duties include but are not limited to the following:nnTransport bedding components to and from customers and warehouse in a safe and timely mannernnAssist in unloading of product and merchandise(unload to the end of the trailer in some locations)nnInspect all products for damage or discrepanciesnnPerform daily truck and trailer inspectionsnnMeet all DOT and company policy requirementsnnDriver must be willing and able to drive in the NY and NJ areasnnAble to follow instruction as givennnReport any problems relating to the product or process involved while performing dutiesnnQualificationsnnMust be a least 22 years of age or oldernnMust have at least 1 year verifiable commercial vehicle driving experience for long distance, local and yard positionsnnAbility to work overtime when requirednnHave and maintain a Class A Commercial licensennNo alcohol convictions with in previous 10 years and no more than 1 offence in a lifetimennNo misdemeanors in the past 5 years, excluding moving violations or citationsnnSubmit to pre-employment DOT drug screen including random and or reasonable cause testing and DOT physicalnnEffective problem resolution and the use of logicnnDetailsnnFlat-rate per trip, driver’s average $1200-$1700/weeknnDrivers are paid by the trip they select each day(trip selection is based off seniority)nnHome nightly and on the weekend’snnDepart between 4-5 a.m. on Monday through Friday and return each afternoonnnEquipment parked at the BranchnnLoading/Unloading Pay: (unload to the end of the trailer in some locations)nnArea runs – PA and surrounding states: Brooklyn, NY, NJ, and Washington DCnnWe offer a comprehensive benefits package.
