Description
Our Client, a leader in commercial real estate and facilities/asset management is seeking to add a Commercial Maintenance Technician to its team. This role will work onsite in New Ulm, MN and works Monday-Friday, 8 hours between 6am and 6pm. This is a 4-month contract to hire role that pays $24 per hour. The key to this role is prior experience in a commercial or industrial background. Upon conversion this role offers increased compensation,an annual bonus plan, and a strong benefit package.
Job Responsibilities:

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building
• systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a
• clear, concise manner.
• Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

Required Skills:

• 1-2 years of relevant experience (commercial/industrial background is required)
• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
