Job Title: Quality Technician - 3rd shift Job DescriptionnnAs a Quality Technician, you will split your time equally between the plant floor and the lab setting. You will ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards through various inspections and tests, while documenting and communicating the results.nnResponsibilitiesnnPerform Pre-Operative and Food Safety inspections, documenting and communicating results.nnConduct Daily Operating Inspections to ensure compliance with GMP and USDA requirements.nnPerform Magnet and Metal Detector Record Checks and inform the Supervisor of any deficiencies.nnConduct ATP swab tests, including Daily and Weekly Line Swabs.nnCalibrate lab equipment such as lab scales, pH meters, and salt analyzers.nnPerform organic start-up tests, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.nnReview previous day's HACCP records daily.nnChange thermometer recorder charts as needed.nnConduct Quality Audits, including quality systems, production scales, and salt analyzers.nnPerform in-bound checks and verify COAs to ensure they meet requirements.nnMaintain stock of laboratory and production supplies as directed.nnAct as a liaison with USDA.nnDistribute weekly Code Date Sheets in a timely manner.nnReport and follow up on food safety and food quality concerns.nnPerform Pizza Line Coverage checks.nnNotify Supervisor of all down times.nnFollow and enforce all Food Safety PPE/GMP requirements and report any concerns.nnPerform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.nnEssential SkillsnnExperience in quality checks and inspections, particularly in the food industry.nnKnowledge of GMP and USDA requirements.nnBiology and chemistry coursework.nnQuality assurance and quality control experience.nnLaboratory experience.nnAdditional Skills & QualificationsnnHigh School diploma with science classes and/or lab courses, plus 6 months to 1+ years of manufacturing experience in the food-related industry.nnB.S. degree in Life Sciences with no industry experience.nnAssociates degree in Life Sciences with 6 months to 1 year of manufacturing experience in the food-related industry.nn6 months to 1+ years of GMP experience, open to other related environments like GLP.nnWork EnvironmentnnThe role is divided between a lab setting and a plant floor where frozen pizzas are made. The environment can be cold. Lab tests include salt, pH, yeast, mold, air plates, and ATP testing (swabbing).
