United Methodist Communities, a six-time Great Place to Work certified organization, has many opportunities to get you happy in your work and home life in our family-friendly town!nnThe CNA: Certified Nursing Assistant performs various non-professional nursing care activities and related services necessary to care for the personal needs and comfort of the residents.nnRequirements for a CNA: Certified Nursing Assistant:nnHigh School Diploma or GEDnn6 months experience in a long term care settingnnCurrent and valid CNA certification in New JerseynnResponsibilities for a CNA: Certified Nursing Assistant:nnPerform personal care activities for residentsnnCompletes daily skin checks and reports changes to nurse immediatelynnParticipates in the dining experience, i.e., serving, clearing, cutting & feeding- based on residents' strengthsnnShares resident preferences with other staff using appropriate communication methodsnnMaintains continuity of care daily by timely documenting and communicating care tasks completed with each individual resident assigned in the point of care kiosknnAttends and actively participates with Interdisciplinary Team Care Plan meeting to identify residents' strength based approaches and skills for assigned residentsnnAssist residents with the use of adaptive equipment, including but not limited to: walkers, wheelchairs, eyeglasses, dentures and hearing aidsnnUnderstands, uses and follow restorative nursing principles and practices to assist resident in maintaining their optimal level of function and maximize their strengthsnnReads and understands the individualized summary plan for residents, and provides support to the residents according to their summary and care plannnObserves and identifies residents' changing needs and condition at first indication, and reports immediately to nursing as appropriatennTakes and records vital signs & weights as instructed by nurse.
