The preferred candidate should have experience with one or more building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or fire protection systems with some estimating experience.nnParticipate in pre-construction meetings, providing opinions and suggestions periodically throughout the planning and design phases. Includes reviewing design documents at each phase for MEP/FP system constructability and quality with the intent to identify challenges and opportunities.nnSupport Project Managers during value engineering efforts and in the buying of a fully integrated scope of work.nnPrepare contractor scope sheets/estimates and RFI’s, change orders, submittals and construction schedulesnnMaintain subcontractor relations and build subcontractor interest for future bids.nnDevelop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and deploy this throughout the estimating process.nnTrack MEP construction progress.nnAssist in MEP Start-Up and Commissi oning on one or several projects.nnActively support in-hous e VDC/BIM and Quality control teams.nnAssist in conducting MEP/FP quality workshops using lessons learned.nnContinue to refine the MEP/FP quality control program.nnParticipate in quarterly operations meetings.nnJob Requirements :nnEducation and ExperiencennBS in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of supervisory construction related experience specializing in the management and troubleshooting of MEP trades OR 10+ years of supervisory experience specializing in estimating, management and troubleshooting of MEP trades.nnSkills & KnowledgennAbility to read drawings.nnProven track record with design and construction procedures and practices, with emphasis on MEP/FP systems. Possess strong knowledge of materials, methods, and processes with plan and specification interpretation skills.nnTeaching and coaching, problem solving, being a team player and supporting other staff, self-motivated, written and verbal communications including development and delivery of technical learning and business development presentations.nnMicrosoft Suite toolset required. Familiarity with Bluebeam, and On-Screen Take-Off.
