Lowboy Driver Columbia, SC Client needs an experienced Lowboy operator to haul heavy equipment, pipe, and construction supplies to and from project work site.
Should have a good driving record and may be required to provide copy of driving record at interview

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY The Lowboy Driver/Operator's responsibilities include safely and efficiently loading and unloading material and equipment, and adhering to all company policies, DOT, and MSHA regulations
Added job tasks o Ability to self-permit or willingness to learn o Comply with Federal/State DOT regulations o Load securement training • Load and unload heavy equipment • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks in accordance with DOT and Company standards • Clean and maintain truck's equipment and supplies • Practice workplace safety KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Must have a Class A CDL. • At least 3 years of experience handling heavy haul up to 80 tons gross weight • Ability to drive in a safe and responsible manner - needs a good driving record • Adept at learning the basic operation of a wide variety of equipment in order to lad and transport them safely • Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability • Ability to communicate effectively in English. • Load and unload heavy equipment • Ability to read and write to record and maintain daily records. • Time management skills • Must have a valid driver's license with less than 3 moving violations in 3 years. • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screenings. • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
