RiverTech is seeking for a Non-CDL Box Truck Driver to transport, distribute, pick-up and transfer client’s assets in the most professional, safe and timely manner.nnDriver responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle in coordination with the Warehouse Manager, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions.nnUltimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. Company will provide phone stipend to support client engagement and use of device to navigate.nnTo be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no major traffic violations.nnAdditionally, The Truck Driver drives a truck to transport materials, merchandise, equipment, or workers between various types of establishments such as: manufacturing plants, freight depots, warehouses, wholesale and retail establishments, or between retail establishments and customers’ houses or places of business. This driver may also load or unload truck with or without helpers, make minor mechanical repairs, and keep truck in good working order. Sales route and over-the-road drivers are excluded. An over-the-road driver regularly drives a truck over such a distance that the worker does not return to the departure point in the same workday or is a worker who is paid on a mileage or mileage plus load factor basis and may be compensated for or provided meals or lodging or both.nnResponsibilitiesnnDriving Non-CDL Box Truck to various client locations throughout the National Capitol Region (NCR), in around Maryland, to Northern Pennsylvania and to Northern VirginiannSafe and proper use of box truck by following local, state, district and federal driving laws.nnMaintaining a clean and safe vehicle.nnUsing navigation apps to determine the best route.nnFollow asset distribution, transfer, pickup and relocation instructions per company Warehouse Manager, Scheduler and Operations Manager.nnMap out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip.nnDrive carefully and undistracted.nnAssist clients with loading and unloading their luggage.nnListen to traffic and weather reports to stay up to date on road conditions.nnAdjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed.nnReport box truck service and maintenance requirements and or concerns to the Warehouse Manager, Dep Program Manager, Operations Manager and Program Manager.nnAssist Warehouse Manager in scheduling regular car service appointments and report any issues.nnMaintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the Box Truck.nnDeliver goods while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several states.nnLoad and unload cargo.nnRecord amount and type of cargo being delivered.nnTake orders for new deliveries.nnDrive long distances.nnFill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.nnReport to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.nnMonitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.nnFollow all applicable traffic laws.nnInspect their trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.nnFollow accident procedures if an accident occurs.nnKeep a log of their activities.nnReport serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.nnKeep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.nnPlan routes using maps or satellite tracking.nnGet goods to client on time.nnTake rest periods during trip.nnTake special precautions while driving.nnMaintain log of trips.nnQualificationsnnHigh school diploma or equivalent.nnActive Secret clearance must be US citizen.nnJob IDnn2024-11532nnWork TypennOn-SitennCompany DescriptionnnWork Where it MattersnnRiverTech, an Akima company, is not just another federal professional solutions contractor.
