Job Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator’s primary function is to assist in the daily operations and needs of TLI’s clients for LTL, truckload, volume, expedited, and white glove shipments. They work in various capacities – as an individual contributor, as part of a team, and/or in collaboration with TLI's Account Management position - to execute those client needs and requests. The candidate must have competence in the transportation industry, marketplace, and general logistics operations, as the position requires an excellent understanding of the transportation/trucking industry and a high level of technological skills. The candidate must also exude a professional demeanor at all times while working in a fast-paced working environment.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide exceptional client service. Provide ‘world-class customer service’ by engaging customers, carriers, and partner with a professional and “people-first” attitude.
  • Assist in routing truckload, LTL, volume, and expedited shipments; optimize the shipment to meet the client’s needs in the most economical mode, while maximizing profit margin.
  • Arrange inbound or drop-shipments for clients; communicate with clients’ vendors to arrange the shipments, monitor, track, and resolve possible issues pertaining to the shipment.
  • Arrange white glove shipments, including temp labor when necessary.
  • Assist with providing accurate and timely price quotes to clients, determining the company’s margin and profitability.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills and provide excellent customer care to resolve shipment issues such as: lost shipments, misrouted shipments, damages, late shipments etc.
  • Track and trace shipments, working closely with carriers and customers to communicate issues and resolutions to clients
  • Escalate issue shipments through the proper channels both internally, at TLI, and externally, with carriers.
  • Collaborate with Sales to provide customized Operations solutions to win new deals and maintain existing client relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Carrier Sales Department to identify new opportunities for carriers, contracted rates, improved rates, etc.
  • Utilize various methods of technology – such as the TMS, quoting tools, customer portals, and carrier websites - to track, monitor and manage customer shipments.
  • Ensure customer reports are accurate and timely; analyze data for accuracy, utilize good time management skills to ensure timely processing and distribution of customer reports.
  • Manage incoming client telephone calls professionally, efficiently, and with excellent communication skills within various call queues as well as client direct.
  • Process client orders accurately and timely.
  • Follow all company SOPs related to company and department policies and comply with established best practices (including technology/software).
  • Perform work-related duties outside of regular business hours, on occasion as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in transportation, supply chain management, or logistics is highly preferred.
  • Previous customer-facing or customer service experience is required.
  • Excellent written and oral command of the English language.
  • Excellent people and interpersonal skills.
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Highly effective at multi-tasking and juggling several projects at one time.
  • Attentive in preventing errors and solving complex problems.
  • Highly literate with computer software, including TMS Technology Systems.
  • Extremely organized and effectively utilizes time well.
  • Positive and upbeat attitude


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday 10am – 7pm EST NON-NEGOTIABLE


Supplemental pay types:

  • TLI P.R.I.D.E. Quarterly Profit Share Program


Ability to commute:

  • Exton, PA 19341: Initial paid on-site training at TLI HQ – hybrid work schedule thereafter
  • Employee may be asked to travel on occasion
