Job description
A leading General Contractor specializing in diverse projects is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join their team. Our company is a soil stabilization company and our projects involve tunnel rehabilitation, jack and bore, culvert installation, soil nails, shotcreting, bridge replacement and construction, pile walls and similar construction projects. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and clients. This role will be hybrid in the middle TN area, with the potential of working remotely dependent on location and qualifications deemed upon hire.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Estimating, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
· 5+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related role
· Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods
· Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite
· Excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills
· Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

· Prepare detailed and itemized estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
· Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather additional data
· Monitor industry trends, material prices, and labor costs to provide accurate estimates
· Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for projects
· Maintain organized records of estimates and project documentation
