A-V Services Inc., a leading Audio/ Video company with multiple fortune 100 contracts within the financial, pharmaceutical and computing industries, seeks an Audio/Video Design Engineer. Candidate must have great customer service skills with emphasis supporting the corporate sector, with comprehensive audio video skills.


About the Role:

The A/V System Engineer must have proficiency in specifying and building a wide range of equipment configurations to support multiple types of projects, as well as troubleshooting and maintaining a range of electronic and digital equipment.


Responsibilities:

  • Determines system requirements with corporate clients, ranging from simple to complex
  • Designs new systems and equipment configurations for huddle spaces, training rooms, boardrooms and broadcast auditorium environments. Including detailed schematic diagrams and cost analyses
  • Researches and recommends capital purchases to maintain or increase capacity of operations where applicable
  • R&D of new products that can improve our offering to our clients
  • Manage their time appropriately
  • Self-sufficient team player responsible for engineering budget of a project and the successful implementation
  • Responsible for proper audio integration
  • Work directly with clients and project team to develop budgets, timelines and manage expectations
  • Assist sales with project estimates as needed
  • Develop BOM for system designs


Qualifications:

5+ years engineering experience in Commercial Audio Visual and Broadcast integration


Required Skills:

  • Travel required within NYC and surrounding area
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing complex Audio and Video projects; design, construction, installation and integration
  • AMX/ Crestron programming a plus
  • Autocad experience required
  • Adaptability to changes in schedule or project needs
