Computational Biology - Bioinformatics Tools Startup

We’re looking for an onsite Protein Engineering focused Computational Biologist, ready to jump in and make an immediate impact. We are a seed stage, revenue-generating company based in San Francisco with a strong runway and big plans to scale. As part of our founding team, you’ll work very closely with the founders to develop and expand cutting-edge drug discovery tools, from protein modeling and structure prediction to docking and scoring. You'll also collaborate with our clients, helping them tap into the best open-source software and integrating multiple tools to create efficient workflows. Qualifications

• MS; Math, CS, Stats, Bioengineering, Comp bio, or a related field
• Knowledge of ML and physics-based tools in structural biology, protein design, molecular dynamics, protein-protein and protein-ligand docking, peptide discovery, virtual screening, etc.
• Knowledge of enzymology, protein therapeutics, and peptide discovery.
• Familiarity with literature and evolving state of the art in computational protein engineering tools
• AWS DevOps (DynamoDB, EC2, S3, docker, etc.) and MLOps (CUDA, conda, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Ability to develop general-purpose, production-ready software

Bonus

• Experience developing ML models for proteins (language models, structure prediction, design)
• Knowledge of full-stack SWE, e.g. React and API development
• Computational Chemistry, including molecular dynamics, docking, and virtual screening methodologies for small molecule discovery.
