Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative Plumbing Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing plumbing systems for various construction projects, ensuring that designs meet all applicable codes and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing design principles, along with proficiency in design software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop plumbing system designs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including water supply, drainage, and waste disposal systems.
• Create detailed drawings and specifications using CAD software.
• Conduct calculations related to water flow, pressure, and pipe sizing to ensure system efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate plumbing systems into overall project designs.
• Review and interpret project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Prepare design documentation, including system layouts, equipment schedules, and installation details.
• Perform site visits to assess existing conditions and gather information for design purposes.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and changes to plumbing codes and standards.
• Provide support during the construction phase, including responding to requests for information (RFIs) and reviewing contractor submittals.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Plumbing Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in plumbing design, with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
