Our client is seeking a Plumbing Designer to join their Mt Vernon, NY office and or NYC Metro area project site

DESCRIPTION:

As a Plumbing Designer , reporting to VP - Mechanical Operations you will be:

• Responsible for designing plumbing systems for modular structures
• Managing budgets, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing technical guidance
• Ensure all plumbing systems are installed correctly, meet quality standards, and meet client expectations
• Under limited supervision, coordinate and prepare schematic design, design development and construction documents
• Assist in spatial coordination with architecture and other engineering systems
• Process contractor submittals
• Perform feasibility studies
• Prepare limited construction cost estimates within discipline
• Develop, maintain, and use standard details
• Adhere to budgets and meeting schedule requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution desired
• Seven (7) + years of experience in plumbing design, preferably with experience in designing plumbing systems for modular structures
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD to create plumbing system designs
• Proficient in the Outlook, Excel, Bluebeam, AutoCAD 2008 or newer. (AutoCAD MEP & Revit a Plus)
• Design/Build Project experience including Commercial, Mixed-Use, Educational, Institutional, high-Rise, Life sciences, etc.
• Knowledge of local Code & Standards, regulatory and LEED requirements
• Excellent written and verbal skills

Salary range for this position is between $155,000 and $185,000 depending on experience
