Job Overview
As the COO, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our medical practice. You will be responsible for managing administrative functions, driving operational efficiency, and fostering a positive work environment that supports exceptional patient care. Your leadership and strategic mindset will be essential in ensuring the continued growth and success of our practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership in all aspects of practice management, including financial management, human resources, operations, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians and other key stakeholders to develop and implement business strategies, policies, and procedures that support the vision and goals of the practice.
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of practice staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and legal guidelines, maintaining a strong focus on patient safety and privacy.
- Manage financial operations, including budgeting, revenue cycle management, billing, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with external partners, including healthcare organizations, vendors, and community stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and implement initiatives to enhance practice efficiency, patient satisfaction, and operational performance.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, changes in healthcare regulations, and advancements in medical practice management to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience at a senior level in healthcare administration, with a focus on medical practice management.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing a medical practice or other healthcare organization.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue cycle management.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to drive operational efficiency and quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to effectively collaborate with physicians, staff, and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, embrace innovation, and lead organizational transformation.
