Key Responsibilities
? Tool and Die Design: Design tooling, dies for stamping, and manufacturing fixtures to support production efficiency.
? Process Routings: Develop process routings for new product introductions, ensuring smooth transitions from prototype to production.
? Continuous Improvement: Partner with cross-functional teams to implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, optimizing safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
? Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to troubleshoot issues and recommend workflow improvements.
? Quality Assurance: Address quality issues related to manufacturing, coordinating with the Quality Assurance team to meet production standards.
? Documentation and Compliance: Manage engineering databases, drawing details, routings, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
? Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) from an ABET-accredited program.
? Experience:
? 3-5 years in a manufacturing engineering role.
? Proven expertise in tool and die design, ideally for progressive stamping, and fixture design for production environments.
? Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo) and proficiency in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly principles.
? Knowledge of metalworking processes, CNC, stamping, and lean manufacturing principles.
