Length: Estimated to be 3 months temp to hire


Hourly rate: $28.00 - $30.00


This person will mostly focus on the procurement side.


Job Description: The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and supplies necessary for the company’s projects. The ideal candidate will also have AutoCAD experience to assist in reviewing, drafting, and interpreting design specifications and plans.


Key Responsibilities:


Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
  • Manage the purchasing process from order placement to delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs to ensure timely availability of materials.


Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with engineering and project management teams to understand project requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or product quality.


Record Keeping and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
  • Prepare and analyze purchasing reports to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.


Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in Construction.
  • Preferred experience with AutoCAD and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus
