Position Summary:
This is a 2nd Shift position responsible for supervising Outbound operations in one or more departments or functional areas of the facility. The position assures the adequate and timely distribution of goods to attain maximum sales potential consistent with sound inventory practices and controls. Coordinates and closely aligns with Sales, Customer Care, Supply Chain, and Category Management to meet or exceed customer expectations and or requirements.
Hours: 2nd shift hours are: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for modeling and managing the Company’s core values
- Participates in the hiring, training, development, and performance management of personnel in accordance with established Company and governmental policies, procedures, and practices
- Coordinates and executes employee training, retention, and hiring programs in accordance with established Company programs and policies
- Ensures the “open door/open floor” policy as well as the zero-tolerance policies are strictly enforced and encouraged.
- Trains associates and ensures compliance with all company Safety policies and practices; Identifies and eliminates hazards
- Responsibilities may include oversight of receiving, picking, and loading operations, as well as transportation, inventory control, and quality. Accountability for the productivity levels of employees, tracking/analyzing product expiration dates to prevent shipments of short-dated and expired products, overseeing cycle counts, tracking and analyzing customer returns/credits, in-house damages/write-offs, ensuring the accuracy of intercompany transfers, compliance and recalls, control and maintenance of company assets and equipment
- Ensures compliance with Company and government regulatory rules and policies including, but not limited to OSHA, environmental, food safety, DOT, transportation authorities, etc.
- Participates in and coordinates operational management development programs
- Handles all other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
- High school diploma; associate degree preferred
- 3 years experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
- Excellent communication, and collaboration skills
- Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
- Staff management, workload planning, objective setting, and organizational skills, required
