Medical Science Liason / Senior Medical Science Liaison

MSL/Sr. MSL, Neurology (Parkinson's Disease), Central Mountain


  • Territory: OH, Western NY, Southern IN, Western PA, VA
  • Salary : $175,000-$225,000 based on level/experience
  • Benefits : Bonus, LTIs, PTO, medical/dental/vision, 401(k)


Summary:

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based scientific expert supporting Neurology across the product lifecycles. Function as the primary scientific communicator with healthcare professionals in their geography, combining clinical expertise with business acumen.



The role is to join a world leader in the treatment of neurology with ground-breaking new products in the Parkinson’s Disease / Movement Disorders space.

There are two products to support along with a newly acquired product in clinical development.


Key Responsibilities:

Execute high-impact territory initiatives:

  • Develop and maintain territory plans including prioritization and tiering
  • Engage with healthcare professionals and investigators
  • Use data analytics to maximize opportunities
  • Generate meaningful data point observations (DPOs)


Serve as a scientific resource to external stakeholders:

  • Educate on disease state, therapeutic landscape and products


Maintain expertise in therapeutic area:

  • Stay current on market trends and product knowledge
  • Support research initiatives as requested by R&D


Collaborate with cross-functional partners:

  • Work with commercial teams, clinical research associates, and other departments


Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree preferred (doctorate preferred) in health sciences
  • Ideal degrees: PhD, PharmD, DNP, NP, PA, MD
  • 2+ years clinical/scientific/research experience, 1+ year as MSL
  • Experience as MSL in Neurology (Parkinson's Disease preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to meet healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time
