PositionResponsibilities:
COVID-19 Cleaning: Perform extra sanitizing of the restrooms and common areas every hour.
Perform a wide variety of housekeeping services at all University Student Commons & Activities (USC&A) facilities. Attend to all
facilities with integrity and attention to detail.
Create a clean and orderly environment.
Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal. Ensure all rooms are cared for
and inspected according to standards. Porter, clean and deep clean event spaces, dining areas, offices and outdoor spaces at all
USC&A facilities. Perform floor work on a variety of surfaces. Notify supervisors of any damages, deficits and disturbances. Check
stock levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate. Perform housekeeping duties during special events. Keep storage
areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. Normal workdays for this position are Monday-Friday, rotating weekends, up to 29 hours per week. This is a part-time 9 month non-benefit position from September 2024 to May 2025.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to perform a variety of housekeeping tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting. Ability to use standard housekeeping
equipment chemical dispensers. Ability to adapt and move quickly from task to task.
This position is hourly. Candidates must be able to work Monday-Friday with rotating weekends, days and evenings.
This position is essential personnel; you may be required to work during university closings and during inclement weather.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance. Customer-oriented and friendly. Ability to work
quickly without compromising quality.
