Job Description The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontaminating, sterilizing, and preparing medical instruments and equipment for use in surgeries and other medical procedures. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate sterilization equipment efficiently.Required Qualifications:Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in sterile processing.Licensure/Certification: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.Vaccines: COVID-19 vaccination card required.Key Responsibilities:Collect, decontaminate, and clean used medical instruments and supplies.Operate and maintain decontamination and sterilization equipment.Inspect equipment to ensure proper cleaning and sterilization.Prepare and organize instrument trays for medical procedures.Monitor and document sterilization processes and inventory.Ensure timely delivery of sterilized instruments for surgeries and medical procedures.Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, equipment maintenance, and inventory control.
