Stark & Stark is currently seeking an Associate in our Business Litigation Group located in the Hamilton, NJ offices of the law firm. The ideal candidate will embrace the challenges of complex commercial litigation, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and be self-directed and detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
The position will be responsible for federal and state civil litigation, including contract claims, fraud, real estate, securities, employment, copyright/trademark, and other complex civil litigation matters.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Two to four years of experience in federal and state civil litigation.
- Drafting pleadings, engaging in written discovery, taking and defending depositions and oral motion hearings.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Must be skilled in negotiation and possess superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong integrity and professionalism.
- Exercise judgment and the ability to work autonomously and as an effective member of a team.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to problem solve independently.
- Must be able to act with a sense of urgency while presenting a calm demeanor.
Admission in New Jersey is required, and an additional admission in New York is preferred.
