Overview:
Experienced and analytical individual is a key attribute to the Master Scheduler position. As the Master Scheduler, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing production schedules, ensuring efficient resource utilization, and maintaining on-time delivery of products. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate across various departments and align production plans with overall business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain master production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and production capacity.
- Collaborate with marketing/planning team, and production teams to understand demand fluctuations and incorporate them into the production plan.
- Analyze production capacity and constraints to optimize the allocation of resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Work closely with department managers to balance workloads and indentify potential bottlenecks int the production process.
- Monitor and track the execution of production schedules, ensuring that production targets are met and addressing any deviations promptly.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to address unforeseen issues and adjust schedules as needed to maintain on-time delivery.
- Liaise with purchasing, inventory management, and quality control teams to ensure seamless coordination across the supply chain.
- Communicate schedule changes, delays, and other relevant information to all stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the production planning and scheduling processes.
- Implement best practices and methodologies to enhance overall scheduling effectiveness.
- Utilize data analytics tools to evaluate production performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and generated reports for managment review.
- Provide regular updates on production progress, highlighting achievement and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 2-5+ years of expeirence in production scheduling
- Proven experience in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of ERP systems and scheduling software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- APICS or other relevant certifications are a plus.

The estimated hourly rate for this role, based in the United States of America is $32-36.
