A charismatic person who loves to be detail orientated organized, punctual, and working in an industrial environment. 1st shift Payrate $24-$25 5:00am to 2pm open to OT Job Purpose: The Materials Lead provides oversight to the material handling team by performing various activities and functions related to the packaging and movement of materials throughout operations. The Lead will perform inventory control activities to maintain inventory accuracy and provide backup support within the materials team. CORE COMPETENCIES 1.Humble Ability to act with courtesy, work with confidence, and not demonstrate arrogance; ability to be open-minded and ready to learn from others 2.Hungry Ability to act first or on your own without prompting by others; ability to introduce something new, e.g. product, service, or process; future-focused 3.Smart Ability to identify and harness the emotions of others and yourself to achieve positive outcomes 4.Accountable Ability to take ownership of work and deliver on expected outcomes, e.g. timeliness, quality, quantity, etc. 5.Team Player Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a group of people that is responsible for a shared outcome FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES 1.Process Efficiency Follow established processes 2.Dependability Perform required tasks or functions regardless of planned or unplanned variables or distractions; stability and consistency of performance 3.Accurate Quality of being near to the true value 4.Customer Focused Ability to align work, objectives, etc. with the needs of customers 5.Safety Orientation Ability to maintain awareness of actual or potential workplace KEY DELIVERABLES •Inventory •Ensures inventory accuracy meets management expectations •Coordinates and executes picking and put-away of materials •Prepares and communicates inventory and performance reports to management •Coordinates and executes inventory cycle counts and material reconciliations •Production •Assigns tasks to the materials team as needed to meet operations production plan •Ensures packaging of finished goods is completed seamlessly to sustain production runs •Ensures timely execution of materials and respective system transactions •Provides backup support to Shipping and Receiving Clerk and Material Handlers •Coordinates breaks, lunches, and any other production interruptions for assigned team members. •Coordinates and provides training as needed for assigned team members •Regulatory •Complies with all procedures and policies concerning quality and medical device regulations and coordinates appropriate training as needed •Verifies PM & Calibration compliances •Ensures documentation follows standard operating process (SOP) and work instructions following good documentation practices(GDP) •Health and Safety •Ensures compliance with a safe work environment according to federal, state, and Northgate policies and OSHA if applicable QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Minimum Required Education and Experience •High School Diploma or GED •2 years previous Materials Handler experience •1 year ERP and inventory management experience •Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to read and write in English •Basic computer literacy Preferred skills and knowledge •Previous experience in the medical industry or medical devices •Previous experience within a manufacturing environment Working Conditions •Warehouse environment •Standing for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours per day •Noise level is moderate •Ability to positively react to a constant changing environment, subject to priority changes and short notice activity 1. Frequently lift up to 75 lbs. 2.
