HAYS Recruitment Manufacturing has partnered with a manufacturing company to recruit an Industrial Trainer for their manufacturing facility in Langley.
Your New Role
The Industrial Training Leader is responsible for planning and facilitating daily training activities. This role involves overseeing training strategies, onboarding, and evaluating training effectiveness through the Learning Management System (LMS). The position ensures continuous improvement of site-specific training systems, including machine skill assessments, feedback, and certification.
Your Responsibilities
The Industrial Training Leader will:
- Create and improve manufacturing training programs that adhere to standards and promote a continuous improvement mindset.
- Develop site-specific technical learning aids such as SOPs, guided workflows, and technical learning aids to support effective training programs.
- Provide on-the-floor technical training to support continuous learning for team members across all shifts.
- Use the company’s training standards and LMS tools to track, evaluate, and measure training effectiveness locally.
- Encourage a safety-minded culture by operating within systems designed for operational excellence.
- Partner with Human Resources to support new hire orientation and onboarding training as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trainees and leaders.
- Train employees at all levels within the organization, ensuring comprehensive development across the board.
- Be passionate about developing curriculums and training programs for the team.
By improving local team performance through effective and consistent application of process standards, and optimizing training resources to reduce risk and maximize efficiency in terms of cost and time, the Industrial Training Leader will significantly impact the company.
Your Skills
- Over 5 years of experience in conducting, leading, and developing training programs with various delivery methods.
- Over 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Applied knowledge and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Forms.
