Certification Details ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required BLS - Basic Life Support required PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support information TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course information Tech Cert Verification - National State License 1 Verification Job Details L&D RN with float to MS/TELE We are a critical access hospital with 25 beds (MedSurg, ICU and OB). Our Ave Daily Census for all areas is 9. We average about 10 deliveries a month. Float to MedSurg is required (typical ratio is 1:3). At times the OB nurse is utilized as the unit secretary or as a patient care technician. Need the nurse to be competent and comfortable being the primary labor and delivery nurse and competent in immediate newborn care and resuscitation. Request the nurse be able/willing to help on the med surg floor. It would not be required for the nurse to take a team of patients. 1st time travelers ok depending on working experience. Every other weekend coverage. Ratios: L&D sees an average of 10 deliveries a month. Labor will be 1:1-2 and Postpartum is 1:1-3. OB unit RN does all areas (Ante-Partum, Labor, Post Partum, Newborn). Avoid delivering less than 36 weeks if able. We are a level 1 nursery - typically transfer if newborn needs specialty care. Medicine System: Pyxis Documentation System: Meditech Scrubs provided Guaranteed Hours 8 Rule: 40.00 hours per 1 week 10 Rule: 40.00 hours per 1 week Travel/Crisis: 36 hours for 3 12-hour shifts or 48 hours for 4 12-hour shifts, or 40 hours for shifts less than 12 hours Client is financially responsible for all weekly guaranteed hours in the event of shift cancellations or facility closures. On-call hours do not count towards the guaranteed minimum hours.
