Training and Support Specialist

Team: City of Raleigh : Division of Health Benefits

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina (hybrid: M-F, 8-5)

Job Structure: 12 month contract with potential for extension

We are not able to provide sponsorship currently.


Brooksource and DHHS Division of Health Benefits requires the services of a training and support specialist to support Medicaid Direct and Medicaid Managed Care Training Projects. The purpose of the position will be to create in-person and online training content to support organizational initiatives and business units. This position will facilitate and support live virtual meetings and events.


Requirements:

  • Strong instructional design and technical knowledge
  • Strong content development and writing skills
  • Ability to create resources to support employee learning, such as tips, job aids, and templates
  • Good research skills
  • Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Must be professional, available during work hours, responsive, and timely
  • Must be attentive to detail and meet required timelines for deliverables


Preferred Experience:

  • SharePoint Page Administration
  • Adobe Articulate (Storyline and Rise)
  • Camtasia
  • MS Teams
  • Experience developing curriculums or training in partnership with subject matter experts
  • Creating training videos and microlearning
  • Use of voiceover tools
  • Interest in continually learning new software and keeping the team updated on changes to software, is desired


This position works with: Associate Director of Organizational Development, Training and Support Specialists, Learning and Development Consultant, Organizational Development Consultant, and an Administrative Support Specialist.
