Our medical malpractice defense firm is seeking to add an associate to our downtown San Diego office. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 4 years of civil litigation experience. Prior experience in the medical malpractice setting is a plus. Salary is based on experience. Benefits include health insurance, dental/vision plan, 401k and profit sharing.

Responsibilities

• Initiating and responding to discovery
• Heavy law and motion work, specifically summary judgment and summary adjudication motions
• Attending depositions
• Researching and retaining experts

Qualifications

• Membership in California State Bar
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong legal knowledge
• Strong legal writing skills
