We are partnered with a manufacturing company near Crystal Lake, Illinois , which specializes in producing flexible and sterilizable packaging materials.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Estimator to join a growing team!

Manufacturing Estimator

• Salary: $70,000 to $110,000 annually, depending on experience
• Hours: 8 am to 4:30 pm
• Reports to: President

Their primary responsibility is to provide accurate estimates for materials, labor, equipment , and overheads involved in producing goods. This helps companies determine pricing, project profitability, and make informed decisions about production strategies.

Requirements

• H.S. Degree/GED or equivalent work experience required, bachelor’s degree preferred
• 10+ years of manufacturing related experience and 3+ years currently in a Manufacturing Estimator role is required.
• Flexible Packaging industry experience is preferred
• Previous ERP/MRP experience required, Radius MRP system experience is preferred
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Outlook) required
• Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively communicate and share knowledge with others required
• Works well with other departments in communication of timelines, priorities and resolving ambiguous tasks/situations.

Responsibilities

• Receives requests for price quotations , purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from domestic & international customers as well as the sales team and distributors.
• Estimates material and labor costs based on analysis of customer specifications, pricing schedules for labor and materials, and historical data, and expedites job costing to customers as requested.
• Handles customer calls, including contacting customers to ascertain data omitted on orders , providing production status, coordinating special instructions and managing customer requests.
• Maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service.
• Additional duties as requested/assigned.
