Summary:
The Web & Merchandizing Analytics Lead is responsible for maximizing conversion rates through comprehensive web analytics and merchandising strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analytics Tool Administration: Manage all aspects of analytics tools, including site tagging, configurations, audits, monitoring, custom dashboards, and user training.
- Reporting & Insights: Generate and enhance regular and ad hoc web analytics reports to provide impactful analysis and actionable insights.
- Tagging & Tracking: Develop and implement website tagging and tracking strategies, including custom analytics using JavaScript for events and triggers in Tag Manager.
- Data Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive web analytics data strategy to optimize user experience (UX), customer experience (CX), and web performance metrics.
- Collaboration: Work with business functions, category, product, merchandising, and UX teams to deliver analytics reporting and insights.
- Data Analysis: Use SQL to analyze large data sets, such as clickstream and transactional data, to extract valuable insights.
- Measurement Frameworks: Develop effective measurement frameworks and reports for non-technical audiences to drive digital marketing and customer conversion improvements.
- Data Quality: Ensure data quality and integrity for key functions, including internal mapping tables, product hierarchy, dates, site taxonomy, and Adobe classifications.
- Experimentation: Design, coordinate, and analyze experiments across digital channels (web, mobile, app) to optimize user experience and drive revenue growth.
- A/B Testing: Maintain a robust A/B testing pipeline, from ideation to implementation and analysis, using best practices and industry standards.
- Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical concepts and methods, such as hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, sample size calculation, and regression analysis.
- Reporting: Create and present clear, compelling reports and dashboards showcasing the impact of experiments on key performance indicators.
- Business Performance: Generate insights for weekly business performance reviews.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in A/B testing, digital analytics, and user experience.
Background & Competencies Required:
- Experience: 10+ years in business analytics, eCommerce, or web analytics roles.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Tableau, SQL, and Adobe Analytics.
- Education: Master’s degree in Business, Data Science, or a related field.
- Industry Experience: 4+ years in eCommerce, consumer electronics, or management consulting.
- Platform Management: Experience managing enterprise-class web analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics/Omniture, DXA) and expertise in client-to-web SDK migration.
- Reporting Skills: Proficiency in developing custom reports, advanced segments, and complex goals, and interpreting and presenting findings.
- Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to identifying optimization opportunities.
- Analytical Skills: High proficiency in data analysis using Excel and Tableau.
- Leadership: Prior experience leading small teams and the ability to engage and develop talent.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate and build effective partnerships at all organizational levels.
- Problem-Solving: Structured and process-oriented approach to solving business and operational problems with an agile mindset.
