Summary :
- Ensure adherence to engineering product specifications by developing cost-effective processes.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) methods for data collection and analysis to enhance process performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Uphold departmental standards for safety and housekeeping.
- Pursue ambitious goals to improve key performance indicators beyond conventional methods, achieving the lowest possible manufacturing costs.
- Facilitate the introduction of new technologies.
- Collaborate daily with various departments, including Finance, People & Culture, IT, Maintenance, Marketing, Production, and Sales.
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to address daily operational challenges and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Initiate and oversee projects to implement innovative equipment, processes, and methods that enhance efficiency.
- Contribute expertise to capital planning, project implementation, and product development discussions.
- Provide timely and accurate project updates and reports.
- Actively participate in meetings and planning activities with the production department.
- Train production, maintenance, and special projects staff.
- Offer assistance and support to other locations and departments as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups, including managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts, including probability, statistical inference, and the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Proficient in applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Experienced in interpreting a wide variety of technical instructions in both mathematical and diagram form, managing both abstract and concrete variables.
- Knowledgeable in CAD design software and Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with automatic bag making, films, lamination, and/or injection molding is required
