Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our well-established law firm. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-5 years of litigation experience and a valid Illinois (IL) Bar license. Specialization or expertise in commercial litigation with a focus on bankruptcy law is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide sound legal advice to clients in bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters.
2. Manage cases from inception to closure including pleadings, discovery, and court proceedings.
3. Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
4. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
5. Conduct extensive legal research to ensure accurate advice and reliable defense.
6. Develop and implement effective litigation strategies that meet clients' goals and financial budgets.
7. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion in all client matters.

Requirements:

1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited Law school.
2. A valid IL license to practice law.
3. Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant litigation experience.
4. Preference given to candidates with specific experience in commercial litigation with a focus on bankruptcy.
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
