Our client, a New York City-based event-driven hedge fund founded by a prominent industry leader, launched in September 2024 with an impressive AUM. They are seeking a Senior Analyst to join their investment team. Ideal candidates should have experience in event-driven research, be industry generalists, and focus on public equities. Key Responsibilities:

• Generate event-driven investment ideas, including M&A, spinoffs, regulatory actions, activism, restructurings, business model changes, litigation, asset sales, special dividends, contingent value rights, share class trades, and new issues.
• Conduct deep fundamental research and situational analysis through reviewing company filings, attending conferences, speaking with sell-side analysts, conducting expert calls, and financial modeling.
• Understand and analyze situational factors related to specific catalysts and events.
• Construct and monitor hedges for investments.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 8+ years of event-driven investing experience.
• Experience in equity market neutral strategies with a strong understanding of market factors.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a top-tier institution with a strong academic record.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
